The 2016 goals decided they couldn't sit in a spreadsheet on my desktop any longer. They decided they needed to be out in the world. In the open air of support, ridicule and enthusiasm.
So, I obliged them.

Finance
- Increase income by 50% by Oct 1st, 2017
- Invest savings using the global couch potato strategy - investment split evenly 4 ways between Canadian bonds, Canadian equity, American equity and international equity
- No phone data overages – 12 months without exceeding data allotment
- 'Fliff Fridays' - create a small fund for spending money frivolously with friends and family on one friday every other month
Professional
- Organize a daily health challenge for co-workers (commit to donating to a cause you hate if you don’t stick to your healthy habit for 4 weeks e.g. Trump campaign)
- Arrange and present ongoing research projects to a funding organization not currently tapped
- Slash 10 hours from current work week through application of the 80/20 principle
- Get first two publications as lead author into impactful journals
- Discover my ‘one thing’, my specialization that makes me invaluable
New Territory
- Participate in a poetry slam
- Train brain to remember names, quantify progression
- Paint a painting, display with friends at ‘Two Deep Breaths’ at the playground gallery
- Release rnb/hiphop song w/ Luc J
- Meet every month w/ life coach Clare C
- Kick in a door purposefully
- Travel to Japan
- Weekend getaways – Tofino and old growth, Seahawks game, Okanagan wine tour, Music Festival, Major trail hike, North shore snowshoe

- Sit down discussion with Dr. Goldenberg about potential projects or collaborations
- Set up two friends on top notch suitable dates
- Win the 2016 Gentlemen's Cup squash tournament

- Launch Hunk Alerts, seek feedback in crafting communications, grow to 1000 members

For each goal, I pair it with a sponsor (person who holds me accountable to each ambition) and my burning WHY (my motivation and what’s at stake).
